What the club says: Formed in 1913 Ashton under Lyne Golf Club is a wooded course nestling in the foothills of the Pennines on the edge of the Greater Manchester conurbation. Over the years great improvements have been made to the course; we have increased its length, added bunkers, improved tees and greens and planted many, many new trees, which are an attractive feature and of course a challenge!
We are proud to have hosted Lancashire county events in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 2017 and have 2019 already confirmed, a testament to the quality of our course!
Weddings, christenings, birthdays, conferences, training days, office parties, funerals, every type of occasion can be catered for at Ashton under Lyne Golf Club.
The club house hosts a professional's shop which sells a vast range of equipment at competitive prices including all major brands. There is also full changing facilities fitted with showers.
Club Facilities
We offer a full size snooker table, a quiet lounge area and a smaller conference/function room for meetings and small dinner parties.
The function room is available for hire for conferences, and is frequently used by local & regional businesses.
Competitive company room rates are available via the club secretary or the House Manager

Great Course
Ashton have invested in the last few years and the course is looking well. Some new bunkers on 2 holes 6th & 7th which is making things interesting

Good course
Played there in society midweek on arrival did not have enough course cards for each player plus food was arranged day before with club but after golf non was available.......but after consultation with chef he put some food on so well done to the chef ????????? but other than those little niggles a good course worth playing ????????????

First time on the course and what a great experience. Really lush, well manicured fairways, greens tricky but ran true. A good mix of holes which require good course management rather than smashing big drives.

Best in the Area
The greens and fairways are in very good condition, the course is nestled between Ashton under Lyne and Oldham. It is reasonably flat, picturesque and a challenging course. The members and staff are very friendly, it has a well stocked Pro shop and good food and refreshments available.
